Jason Stringer, is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.

Education and Training
Jason Stringer earned his Master's of Psychology from University of the West in Rosemead, CA. Jason has an A in liberal arts and BS in Healthcare Administration.

Experience
Prior to Chino Hills Counseling, Jason worked as a group therapist at Canyon ridge Hospital in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Jason has worked with at risk teens and struggling families through his experience at Leroy Haynes Programs. Jason has also worked with people experiencing addiction and homelessness in higher acuity settings through Los Angeles Christian Health Centers, and Exodus Recovery. Overall Jason has about 8 years of clinical experience.

Specialties
Jason uses Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) with a humanistic/existential lens in his work with his clients. ACT aims to address human suffering through the means of mindfulness interventions, and assisting patients in identifying their personal values in order to build a roadmap toward a fulfilling life. Jason has found the ACT approach most helpful in his work with various forms of suffering including anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction (substances and process addictions), teen and family issues, and psychotic disorders

Personal Comments
Jason is a musician in his spare time, playing various forms of latin music ranging from Latin Jazz to Cumbia. Jason has been a performing artist for much of his life. When not playing music or working Jason is usually spending time with his family, enjoying a movie, a hike, or a day at the beach.
