Brooke Paisley, M.s., AMFT

Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #115602

Brooke Paisley is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with Chino Hills Counselling working under the supervision of Kari Halko-Weekes, PhD, LMFT, LPCC.

Education and Training
Brooke first completed her B.A. in Psychology with a double minor in Education and Applied Psychology after three years studying at UC Santa Barbara. She then obtained her M.S. in Clinical/Counseling Psychology from CSU San Bernardino. While there, she trained at the Community Counseling Center, providing counseling to members of her community, specializing in depression and anxiety treatment.

Experience
Brooke’s first year internship at the Community Counseling Center allowed her to provide low cost counseling to members of her community. She specialized in the treatment of depression and other mood related disorders, anxiety, relationship conflict, and helping the client achieve personal growth overall. Her next internship allowed her to provide individual and group psychotherapy to high school students, specializing in crisis intervention, parent-child conflict, bipolar management, trauma related disorders, and grief and loss support.

Specialties
Brooke enjoys working with children, as well as the family unit. She’s interested in implementing play therapy, treating behavioral issues, and increasing communication among family members. She’s also interested in couples counseling and is trained in the Prepare/Enrinch program. Other areas of interest include treating phobias and other anxiety related disorders and providing a supportive environment for individuals struggling with depression, loss, or trauma related disorders. Brooke views therapy as an opportunity to empower people by helping them recognize what patterns in their lives are limiting their individual growth and how they can overcome these limits by changing their mindsets.

Personal Comments
Brooke cherishes relationships and making meaningful connections, believing them to be a key source of support. She enjoys spending time with friends taking on escape rooms, trivia events, and having weekly game nights.
