Chien Yi holds 2 masters degrees. One is in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University, and the other is Christian Studying with an emphasis in counseling from Logos Seminary at El Monte. She completed her clinical training at San Gabriel Unified School District where she worked mostly with children (age 5-12) and their families dealing with various issues, including anxiety, cultural adjustment issues, and communication problems.
Chien Yi completed her graduate level training at San Gabriel Unified School District where she primarily worked with first generation immigrant children and their families.
Chien Yi enjoys working with children and their parents dealing with various issues including anxiety, cultural adjustment issues, and communication problems. She is also experienced in pastoral counseling and believes that Christianity can be integrated with psychotherapy to help people improve treatment outcomes and a connection with God. Chien Yi speaks fluent Mandarin (Chinese) and English. She has a unique ability to assist her client in how to adjust to first-generation immigrant issues. Her professional goal is to help her clients explore their strengths and characters traits to empower and encourage them to overcome their difficulties.
