Chien Yi is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) and Registered Associated Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC) with Chino Hills Counselling working under the supervision of Kari Halko-Weekes, PhD, LMFT, LPCC.

Education and Training
Chien Yi holds two (2) masters degrees. Her first, is in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage, Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University, and the second, is Christian Studies with an emphasis on counseling from Logos Seminary in El Monte. Chien completed her clinical training at San Gabriel Unified School District where she worked  with children (age 5-12) and their families dealing with various issues, including anxiety, cultural adjustment issues, and communication problems.

Experience

Mrs. Chiang completed her graduate level training at San Gabriel Unified School District where she primarily worked with first generation immigrant children and their families. She has co-facilitated both a Chances For Change, behavioral skills based group and a depression group at Don Lugo High School throughout her associateship at Chino Hills Counseling.

Specialties
Chien Yi enjoys working with children and their parents dealing with various issues including anxiety, cultural adjustment issues, and communication problems. She is also experienced in pastoral counseling and believes that Christianity can be integrated with psychotherapy to help people improve treatment outcomes and a connection with God. Chien Yi speaks fluent Mandarin (Chinese) and English. She has a unique ability to assist her client in how to adjust to first-generation immigrant issues. Her professional goal is to help her clients explore their strengths and characters traits to empower and encourage them to overcome their difficulties.
