Michael Tognetti is a licensed Marriage, Family Therapist with Chino Hills Counseling. He is known for his down-to-earth style and ability to easily relate to others.

Education and Training
Michael earned his Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage, Family Therapy from Azusa Pacific University and completed his undergraduate work at UC Irvine, earning a BS in Social Sciences. Specializing in relational therapy, Michael works with couples, families and individuals on a wide variety of issues.

Experience
Prior to Chino Hills Counseling, Michael worked at Chino Human Services and provided psychotherapy to individuals, families and couples. He has co-facilitated several couple’s workshops and is a facilitator for the Prepare/Enrich program. The Prepare/Enrich program helps to identify the unique strengths and potential growth areas of your premarital or married relationship. In addition, Michael has led an adult open process group, as well as a men’s group. He has experience working with men on issues such as sexual addictions, infidelity, and vocational problems. Michael has also worked as a counselor for students at Chino High School. This experience has given Michael a unique insight into the complex challenges faced by adolescents.

Michael has a passion to provide compassionate Christian counseling and care to individuals, families and couples who may be stuck or facing difficult challenges in their lives and relationships. He also enjoys working with clients who prefer a more secular, non-faith based approach. Michael has extensive experience helping couples communicate more effectively, resolve their conflicts, heal from their wounds, and grow their relationships. His professional goal is to help his clients gain insight into their difficulties, while empowering them with the skills to overcome life’s challenges.
